What a Janam Kundli actually is
A Janam Kundli is a map of the sky at the precise moment you were born, drawn from where you were born. It records where each of the nine grahas stood, which sign was rising on the eastern horizon, and how those positions divide your life into twelve houses.
It is not a prediction of fixed events. It is a map of tendency and timing — where you have natural support, where you will have to work harder, and when each of those themes comes to the surface. What you do with that map remains yours.

Timing
Dashas: when things actually happen
Two people can share a similar chart and live very different decades. The Vimshottari Dasha system is what separates them — a planetary timeline that governs which part of your chart is switched on at any point in life.
Mahadasha
The major period, lasting six to twenty years. It sets the broad theme of that chapter of your life.
Antardasha
The sub-period inside it. This is where the useful detail sits — the months that favour a move, and the ones that do not.
Gochar (transits)
Where the planets are moving now, read against your birth chart. Saturn and Jupiter transits matter most.

Before you ask
Why does birth time matter so much?
The ascendant changes roughly every two hours, and the Navamsha faster still. An hour's error can shift your whole chart. If your recorded time is uncertain, say so and we will work with the uncertainty openly rather than pretend it away.
What if I do not know my birth time at all?
We can still read your Moon chart and Dasha periods, which do not depend on the ascendant. We will tell you plainly which conclusions are solid and which are not available without a time.
How is this different from a free online Kundli?
We use professional software to generate the chart too, so the calculations are precise. What software cannot do is weigh a weak planet against a strong house lord, or tell you which of two conflicting indications will actually govern your next three years. That judgement is the work, and it is done by a person here.
Do you cast charts for people born outside India?
